Pioneers. Inspiring Voices

Next Wednesday, October 21, we will host a discussion with Diane Foley, author of the book *American Mother* and director of the James W. Foundation, a foundation created in honor of her son James Foley, a journalist killed by ISIS in Syria. Marc Marginedas (COM ’90), a journalist for *El Periódico*, former correspondent, and recipient of the Brajnovic Award, will also participate in the conversation, which will be moderated by Ramón Salaverría (COM ’93, PhD ’98), a professor at the School.

The event is the first in a new series titled “Pioneers: Voices That Inspire,” which will serve as a gathering place offering motivation and encouragement to all those working in the communications field, thereby reviving the conference series that took place a few years ago featuring leading figures in communications such as Martin Baron, Jill Abramson, and Paul Seiger.

The event will take place in the auditorium of the Condeduque Contemporary Cultural Center in Madrid at 7:00 p.m.
