The University of Navarra, in collaboration with Roberto Verino, has inaugurated the exhibition WE DESIGN on Calle Serrano, the epicenter of Madrid's Golden Mile. This exhibition, which will be located in the clothing brand's store until March 12, includes the most innovative projects carried out by students of the academic center 's Design degree program. In total, there are 16 futuristic, sustainable, and innovative objects that offer new forms of lighting, decoration, recycling, and clothing.

Among the designers are five young people from Navarre: Alexia Iráizoz, with her project "Ajedrez" (Chess), a handmade industrial-style game with pieces inspired by the sculptures of Eduardo Chillida and Jorge Oteiza; Amaia Andueza, whose work "Argia" presents a set of lamps created from cardboard generated daily by shops in Pamplona's Old Town; and Carlota Cortezón, who has created a set of tableware with an organic design under the name "Loreak." Also participating are Julián Vidaurre, creator of concrete lamps, and Rubén Goñi, who has designed glasses created using additive manufacturing.

Also participating in the exhibition are Andrew Cavanagh, Ana Isabel Sandoval, Belén García, Mirian Águeda, Celia García Rubio, Emilio Argenzio, Marta Romero, Estefanía Rojas, Lucía Andonegui, Regina Carrera, and Inés Rosas, who have created, among other designs, bags inspired by farm work, a wax-melting lamp, a set of coasters that can be turned into a kind of puzzle, and a kit for converting food waste into flower pots.

The exhibition reflects the educational model of the Design degree program at the University of Navarra, which covers all areas of this discipline and seeks to have an impact on society. The sixteen projects propose a return to basics, rethinking the concept of functionality and exploring new ways of thinking, living, and coexisting in a context of changing trends, understanding design as a tool for democratizing beauty. Roberto Verino explained that "these projects stand out for their coherence" and encouraged students "to believe in their talent and push them towards the market."

"The DISEÑAMOS exhibition is an opportunity to showcase the creative processes that students work on. The collaboration with Roberto Verino provides students with a business perspective that complements their academic training and supports the generalist nature of the degree, allowing future designers to plan their professional careers and demonstrate their potential," explains Eduardo Domingo, promoter of the exhibition and director of development at the University of Navarra's School of Architecture.
